Understand Time Co-ordination – the UTC tool

Let’s understand UTC  and how it helps us to co-ordinate our efforts.

UTC is UNIVERSAL TIME CO-ORDINATED. According to Wikipedia: Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is the primary time standard by which the world regulates clocks and time. It is one of several closely related successors to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). For most purposes, UTC is synonymous with GMT, but GMT is no longer precisely defined by the scientific community

First, get familiar with this map. It helps us to locate ourselves in the world.

In the same map, look at the bottom colourful line which shows the time zone. UTC is taken as 0. On its right, there is +1 +2 etc. and on its left, -1, -2 etc.

We call each of our hours by a certain number [like 9 a.m. or 6 p.m. ] , but we can still meet at one moment of time. We are always in NOW but it can be 7 p.m. in Paris AT THE SAME TIME that  it’s 2 a.m. on the next day in the Tokyo calendar. Once  we understand the UTC,  we can convert our time in relation to it. Here’s a site for easy conversion http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/converter.html

H.U.G.S. : We are suggesting that to sync with one another, we do a daily ‘positive’ practice – gratitude thoughts, prayer, meditation, light channeling, yoga, etc.- at ten minutes past any UTC hour [ i.e. 1:10, 2:10, 3:10, 4:10 ……  23:10,00:10]. Just once a day is enough.

sundialStudying time  will help us all to understand better this remarkable tool, which human beings have fine-tuned based on the earth’s rotations and revolutions, sunrise and sunset, the passage of day, night, and seasons.

We have not fully understood time, and once we do, we will see that it is here only to help us to sync with one another in our daily life on earth.

How else will a friend in India when it’s day be able to meditate with a friend in the USA where it’s night – and yet be in the same time?

At the very least, we begin to see that even if we are not physically together in the same place, we can be together in that expansive space of time.

So here’s a question: When it’s 09:00 UTC what time is it for you?

If it is not clear, comment below, get engaged, ask and answer.
